Maatru Puja, a sacred ritual dedicated to honoring mothers, was celebrated with devotion and enthusiasm at VIVEKANANDA KENDRA VIDYALAYA RANGAT on 5 th February 2025.The event aimed to instill values of gratitude, respect, and love in children ,to uphold the cultural tradition of honoring one’s mother as a divine figure by recognizing the selfless sacrifices of their mothers.Mothers of all participating students were invited, making it a heartwarming and emotional occasion.
Children performed the traditional feet-washing ritual, symbolizing respect and devotion.
They applied Tilak on their mothers’ foreheads and offered flowers as a mark of reverence.Vedic hymns and mantras were chanted, creating a serene spiritual atmosphere.Students were issued with admit cards after taking the blessings from all teachers & pandit ji.
The event concluded with mothers blessing their children, followed by a community lunch.The event was an overwhelming success, leaving a lasting impression on both students and parents. Many mothers became emotional, expressing their joy at being honored in such a meaningful way. The students learned valuable life lessons about gratitude, humility, and the significance of family bonds.Maatru Puja was a beautiful and inspiring event that reinforced the values of respect, love, and devotion toward parents.
