* Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence at VIVEKANANDA KENDRA VIDYALAYA on 5th September 2026 to commemorate the birth anniversary of the great philosopher, scholar, and former President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Ji.
* The programme was dedicated to honouring the invaluable contribution of teachers and expressing gratitude for their guidance, wisdom, and selfless service.
*LIGHTING OF THE DIYA AND PUSHPANJALI:*
* The celebration commenced with ceremonial lamp lighting and offering of flowers by the HOI and other staff.
* The ceremony symbolised the dispelling of ignorance through the light of knowledge and wisdom.
*CULTURAL PERFORMANCE BY THE STUDENTS:*
* The highlight of the programme was a beautiful dance performance presented by the students. The performance portrayed the profound relationship between Gurus as Parents, beautifully conveying that teachers, like parents, nurture, guide, protect, and inspire their children. The heartfelt presentation touched everyone’s emotions and created a deeply moving atmosphere.
*BOUQUET PRESENTATION AS A TOKEN OF LOVE:*
* The most touching moment of the celebration was the felicitation ceremony.
* Each teacher was invited on the stage and was presented with bouquet prepared by the students as a token of love and gratitude.
*ADDRESS: BY THE HOI:*
* The programme moved ahead with an enlightening address by the HOI .He highlighted the importance of teachers in building responsible individuals and a better society. He also emphasised the duties and responsibilities of teachers and reminded everyone that teaching is not merely a profession but a noble responsibility towards shaping the future generation.
*PUSHPANJALI AND BLESSINGS:*
* All the students from Balvatika to class X offered Pushpanjali to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan as a mark of respect and remembrance. The students then sought the blessings of their teachers, expressing their heartfelt gratitude for their constant guidance, support, and encouragement.
*CONCLUSION:*
* The Teachers’ Day celebration was a memorable and meaningful occasion that filled the entire school with a spirit of gratitude, respect, and devotion towards teachers.
* The programme beautifully reflected the timeless bond between Guru and Shishya and reminded everyone of the noble role teachers play in shaping the lives of their students.
* The celebration concluded at about 11:30 am,on a solemn and grateful note, leaving everyone inspired to value and respect their teachers.
* A total of 15 teachers along with 151 children witnessed the celebration.
