KENDRA VARGA FOR TEACHERS

* VIVEKANANDA KENDRA VIDYALAYA, RANGAT organised an insightful Kendra Varga session on 26th September 2026 at about 1:30 pm in the School Auditorium with the active participation of all the staff . 

* The main objective of the session was to develop physical fitness, mental alertness, team spirit, discipline and a sense of dedication among the staff of our Vidyalaya.

* The session began with three Omkaras & Shanti Path creating a peaceful and positive atmosphere. This was followed by Yogabhyas in which participants performed some loosening exercises such as Hand Rotation , Hip rotation and ankle Rotation and asana such as *TRIKONASAN* under which helped the participants refresh their minds.

* Followed by the Yogabhyas,An interesting game named *LEADER LEADER CHANGE THE ACTION.....* was conducted. All the participants took part enthusiastically, making the session lively and enjoyable.The energetic Chanting of Patriotic Naras before and after the gaming session by the participants,echoed the hall .

* The session then moved on to a Deshbhakti Geet *SWAMIJI KI JEEVAN DHATA.......* which created a feeling of patriotism and dedication towards SWAMI VIVEKANANDA.

* A meaningful group discussion based on the topic *IMPORTANCE OF READING SKILLS* was conducted. The discussion highlighted the role of teachers in improving *Reading Skills* among children.Teachers actively shared their views and experiences. 

* The programme concluded at about 2:05 pm with Shanti Mantra & Prarthana

* Overall, the Kendra Varga was informative, interactive and enriching. It provided an opportunity for the staff members to rejuvenate themselves, strengthen team spirit and reflect upon their responsibilities as educators and nation-builders.A total of 14 teachers were benefitted through the rejuvenating Kendra Varga.

GANESH CHATURTHI CELEBRATION AS ON 14TH SEPTEMBER 2026

To honour Lord Ganesha as the god of wisdom, prosperity, and the remover of obstacles and to promote cultural awareness among children, VIVEKANANDA KENDRA VIDYALAYA RANGAT celebrated *GANESH CHATURTHI* on 14th September 2026, with great devotion, enthusiasm and spiritual fervour.

The main objectives of the celebration were to commemorate the birth of Lord Shree Ganesha & to promote cultural awareness among children.* 

 The programme commenced in a traditional way with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp & offerings of *Bhog* by the senior teachers SMTI M. SUDEVI & SMTI BINDHU K to Lord Ganesha, a remover of obstacles ,marking an auspicious beginning to the celebration.

* Soon after Children of Class X performed Aarti and sought blessings from the almighty.

* MISS MOUMITA HALDER one of our teachers, delivered an informative and inspiring speech on Lord Ganesha, highlighting the significance as the remover of obstacles and the symbol of wisdom, knowledge, and prosperity. 

* The students from RANI LAXIMI BAI house , presented a devotional bhajan, creating a peaceful and divine atmosphere.

* The celebration was further enriched by a beautiful dance performance for the song *BHRAMMA MUKHATE BRAHMMA MUKHATE.....* by the students Kri GAVYA ( C- IV) & Kri K. DRISHIKA SAI ( C-II). 

* The participants expressed their devotion and joy through the performance.

* Followed by the dance performance, the students and staff respectfully paid floral tributes to Lord Ganesha, and sought blessings for wisdom, happiness, and success.

* The programme concluded with the distribution of prasad among the students and staff.

* The celebration created a sense of unity and devotion and helped the students appreciate the cultural and spiritual significance of Ganesh Chaturthi.

* Altogether 80 students and 16 staff sought the divine blessings of Lord Ganesha.

133RD UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD DAY CELEBRATION*

*INTRODUCTION:*

* The culture of celebrating some dates and days has now become a lustrous occasion.

* When we speak of some of the special days that are celebrated worldwide, they are tagged with the speeches by the chief guest/special personalities present on the occasion .

* All these speeches were with reference to particular events and are not of much importance in the present scenario.

* But world over, very few are aware of the facts that there is one speech and a particular day is celebrated worldwide to commemorate, that one speech and it is the Swami Vivekananda's famous speech delivered on September 11, 1893 in Chicago to the delegates of the World Parliament of Religions.

* It is popularly remembered for Swami Vivekananda's opening word *Brothers and Sisters of America* . 

* In order to commemorate Swami Vivekananda's mesmerizing speech, VIVEKANANDA KENDRA VIDYALAYA RANGAT celebrated UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD DAY on 11th September 2026, with Joviality and Merriment.

*OBSERVATION AT SCHOOL :*

* The programme commenced at around 8:40 a.m. with an observation and gathering beneath the statue of Swami Vivekananda. The well wishers, teachers and Students paid floral tributes under the holy feet of Swami Vivekananda' s Statue.

* The rest of the programme was organised at School Auditorium.

* At about 9:10 am, The Chief Guest Shri *SUKUMAR DAS* , Assistant Conservator of Forests , SMC Chairman , SMC & PTA Members were warmly welcomed by the school with a bouquet. 

* This was followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The auspicious beginning was accompanied by the chanting of the *Ikkiya Mantra*, creating an atmosphere of peace and spirituality.

* SMTI BINDHU K, one of our senior teachers, welcomed the Guests with her valuable words.

* This was followed by the chanting/recitation of *“BHUVANA MANDALE NAVAYUG UDAYAT....... ”* which added a devotional and inspiring touch to the programme.

* The cultural segment showcased the talents of the students through a variety of cultural dances representing respect & spiruality.

* Students also delivered inspiring speeches dressed in the attire of Swami Vivekananda, portraying his personality and sharing his powerful message of universal brotherhood, self-confidence, service and harmony.

* The programme also included the *felicitation* of students who had demonstrated *outstanding performance* in various activities.

* Their achievements were acknowledged and appreciated as an encouragement to continue striving for excellence.

* The Chief Guest addressed the gathering and shared valuable thoughts on the relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s teachings in the present day. 

* Altogether 212 (173 students + 19 staff & 20 SMC & PTA Members) people witnessed the celebration.

*CELEBRATION AT NEARBY SCHOOLS:*

* As part of the UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD DAY celebration, similar programmes were also organised at other schools, promoting the message of universal brotherhood among a wider student community. 

* Various competitions had been conducted earlier in connection with the celebration to encourage students' creativity, participation and understanding of Swami Vivekananda’s ideals. 

* On the morning hours of 11th September at about 10:30 am, teachers along with students dressed in the attire of Swami Vivekananda visited nearby schools such as *GSSS RANGAT , GPS RANGAT & GMS PARNASALA*,to spread his inspiring message of universal brotherhood, unity and harmony.

* During the visits, the students presented speeches highlighting the life, teachings and ideals of Swami Vivekananda & the winners of the competitions were awarded prizes and certificates in recognition of their efforts and achievements.

* Overall 186 students & 21 teachers ( from all the three schools) witnessed the celebration.

TEACHERS'DAY CELEBRATION 2026-27

* Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence at VIVEKANANDA KENDRA VIDYALAYA on 5th September 2026 to commemorate the birth anniversary of the great philosopher, scholar, and former President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Ji.

* The programme was dedicated to honouring the invaluable contribution of teachers and expressing gratitude for their guidance, wisdom, and selfless service.

*LIGHTING OF THE DIYA AND PUSHPANJALI:*

* The celebration commenced with ceremonial lamp lighting and offering of flowers by the HOI and other staff.

* The ceremony symbolised the dispelling of ignorance through the light of knowledge and wisdom.

*CULTURAL PERFORMANCE BY THE STUDENTS:*

* The highlight of the programme was a beautiful dance performance presented by the students. The performance portrayed the profound relationship between Gurus as Parents, beautifully conveying that teachers, like parents, nurture, guide, protect, and inspire their children. The heartfelt presentation touched everyone’s emotions and created a deeply moving atmosphere.

*BOUQUET PRESENTATION AS A TOKEN OF LOVE:*

* The most touching moment of the celebration was the felicitation ceremony.

* Each teacher was invited on the stage and was presented with bouquet prepared by the students as a token of love and gratitude.

*ADDRESS: BY THE HOI:* 

* The programme moved ahead with an enlightening address by the HOI .He highlighted the importance of teachers in building responsible individuals and a better society. He also emphasised the duties and responsibilities of teachers and reminded everyone that teaching is not merely a profession but a noble responsibility towards shaping the future generation.

*PUSHPANJALI AND BLESSINGS:*

* All the students from Balvatika to class X offered Pushpanjali to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan as a mark of respect and remembrance. The students then sought the blessings of their teachers, expressing their heartfelt gratitude for their constant guidance, support, and encouragement.

*CONCLUSION:*

* The Teachers’ Day celebration was a memorable and meaningful occasion that filled the entire school with a spirit of gratitude, respect, and devotion towards teachers.

* The programme beautifully reflected the timeless bond between Guru and Shishya and reminded everyone of the noble role teachers play in shaping the lives of their students.

* The celebration concluded at about 11:30 am,on a solemn and grateful note, leaving everyone inspired to value and respect their teachers. 

* A total of 15 teachers along with 151 children witnessed the celebration.
