Raksha Bandhan is a festival which celebrates the bond of a brother and sister. This festival is celebrated in the Hindu religion. It is one of their most important festivals. In addition, sisters and brothers wait eagerly for it all round the year. People celebrate it with abundant zeal and enthusiasm in India. Similarly, it does not matter if you are a kid or an adult. Brothers and sisters of all ages celebrate Raksha Bandhan.
Furthermore, it strengthens the bond between them as well. ‘Raksha’ translates to the protection and ‘Bandhan’ translates to bond. Thus, this explains the meaning of this festival.Aspire believes that such celebrations of festivals with true spirit, teach students about our Indian traditions.
For keeping this tradition alive, VIVEKANANDA KENDRA VIDYALAYA, RANGAT conducted a ‘Rakhi –making’ competition. Students from class IX & X participated in the competition and made colourful rakhis. They used decorative threads, stars, mirrors, pearls and flowers for making beautiful rakhis.The event was celebrated with full enthusiasm and zeal. Our Principal appreciated the work of the students. The event of RAKSHA BANDHAN was organized by KHUDIRAM BOSE (GREEN) HOUSE Members. It was organized to promote cultural values and strengthen the senses of unity among the students.Our Principal Shri CH Shanmuga Rao inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp. After that Smti M. Sudevi (Teacher) presented a beirf oration about the significance of Raksha bandhan . Darsh Bepari of class IX delivered a nice speech on Raksha bandhan , emphasizing the importance of bond between siblings. Students from various classes also came forward and gave short speech on Raksha bandhan.
Class wise boys and girls enthusiastically exchanged rakhis and chocolates with each other. The exchange of rakhis promoted a sense of unity and harmony among the students. in order to create a festival atmosphere, students performed cultural dances that revolved around the theme of sibling love. Shreya of class III,presented a beautiful traditional dance. Shraddha of class V, presented an outstanding dance performance with the help of ring which was appreciated by everyone. Then Akriti Mistry of Class II & Kritika Paul of Class VI also presented beautiful dances.
