Universal Brotherhood Day is observed on 11 September annually around the world to honour the historic speech delivered by Swami Vivekananda on this day in 1893 in Chicago to the delegates of the World Parliament of Religions. Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Rangat, observed U.B.Day with a lot of joy and excitement.
The chief guest for the event was Dr. Bindu Kumar. Parents, SMC members and PTA members were present to witness the program. The entire program was organized by Veer Savarkar House.
The event commenced with a wonderful welcome dance
performance by Diti Sahay and Kyna
Halder of C-IV.
Following the dance performance, Bishnu Pada Biswas (Teacher) delivered an address
for the day. Two students were attired as Swami Vivekananda and elaborated on his profound
thoughts. Next, Jui Dutta from Class IX attired as Swami Vivekananda and delivered
his Chicago address. A delightful group song was performed by the students.
Prizes from various competitions, which were organized in honor of Universal
Brotherhood Day, were distributed to our students by our esteemed chief guest.
A skit was performed by the students, portraying the life incidents of Swami Vivekananda. House-wise dance competitions were conducted. The chief guest
addressed the significance of the day, emphasizing its importance. Finally, the
program was concluded with the distribution of prizes by the Chief Guest & the Principal .
