Gita Jayanti commemorates the day when Lord Shri Krishna delivered his celestial teachings to Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. At a moment of hesitation and doubt, Krishna enlightened Arjuna with the wisdom of the Gita, addressing profound questions about life, duty, and the nature of the soul.The Bhagavad Gita often referred as Gita , is a 700 - Verse hindu scripture ,is considered the most and influential Hindu scripture for its philosophical, Practical, political and spiritual value. Gita Jayanti marks the birth of this holy book. To inculcate about the importance of the day among the children,VIVEKANANDA KENDRA VIDYALAYA,RANGAT celebrated GITA JAYANTI on 11th December 2024 with complete dedication and devotion. The program began with the lightening of lamp & offering of flowers under the holy feet of Lord Shri Krishna by our honourable principal and other teachers. A group of class VIII children chanted the verses of Bhagavad Gita from Padawali. After that Shri SADHA NAND, one of our teachers, delivered a speech on the importance of Sreemath Bhagavad Gita. He also encouraged all to read & follow the path of Bhagwad Gita in their life.Students from various classes performed dances and chanted bajans .Program was concluded with the offering of flowers by the students and all the staff. The whole program was organised by " Khasi House ". A total of 185 students along with 15 staffs witnessed the program.
