AWARENESS CAMPAIGN ON CHILD PROTECTION

 Resource persons from DCPU(DISTRICT CHILD PROTECTION UNIT) N & M Andaman,along with Police department and social welfare department visited VIVEKANANDA KENDRA VIDYALAYA, RANGAT on 11 th September 2024.  The purpose of their visit was to create  awareness among children about child abuse, Child marriage and adolescence education. Smti Sunita, resource person from child protection unit explained interestingly about how to protect ourselves  from unwanted physical and social threats. She also explained the children about Good Touch and Bad Touch. A total of 108 children along with 5 teachers witnessed the awareness program.

GANESH CHATURTHI CELEBRATION 2024

Ganesh Chaturthi ,also known as Vinayak chaturthi is a remarkable hindu festival . It is celebrated as tribute to the deity of wisdom and prosperity in Hindu mythology who is also recognised as the god of new beginnings and the remover of obstacles.Ganesh Chaturthi is a festival rich in cultural, religious, and social significance. It celebrates not only the birth of Lord Ganesha but also the values he embodies—wisdom, patience, perseverance, and prosperity.It is traditionally celebrated by all hindu people of  Bharat. 

By following the tradition, VIVEKANANDA KENDRA VIDYALAYA RANGAT  celebrated  Ganesh Chaturthi with great pomp and gaiety. The stage was decorated with flowers. The aroma of burning camphor filled the atmosphere with spirituality and fidelity.

The celebration began with lighting up the lamp and Aarati by our Principal and all teachers. All the rituals were performed with great fervour.  After that children paid homage to the deity by offering flowers. Ganesh bhajans were sung by various group of children. The program concluded with Prasaad distribution. The whole celebration was organized by all the four houses. A total of 110 people including students & Staff, witnessed the celebration.



"TEACHERS' DAY CELEBRATION 2024"

 Today (September 5), we commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, which is also marked as Teachers’ Day in India. Born on September 5, 1888, Dr. Radhakrishnan was a highly esteemed Indian philosopher, politician, and statesmanThe first Teachers’ Day was observed on his 77th birthday in 1962, where the tradition of celebrating Teachers’ Day began when Dr. Radhakrishnan was approached by his students who wanted to celebrate his birthday. Dr Radhakrishnan believed in the transformative power of education and the crucial role teachers play in shaping the future of individuals and the nation. In essence, Teachers’ Day serves as a reminder of the vital role educators play in shaping not only the lives of their students but also the future of society. 

VIVEKANANDA KENDRA VIDYALAYA, RANGAT celebrated Teachers day on 5 September 2024 with great zeal and enthusiasm. The Prayer hall was beautifully decorated with  traditionally available flowers. The celebration began with  lighting up the lamp by the honourable

 Principal  followed by "Shanti Paat". After that teachers were honoured with beautiful hand made bouquets by the students of Class X. After that an wonderful dance was presented by Class V children. Apart from that a group dance and bajans were also presented by the students of Badrinath house. Then best  teachers among students of class X who played the role of teachers were awarded with valuable gifts. The program came to an end with offering of flowers under  the portrait of " Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan.The whole program was organised by the members of " Badrinath House " . A total of 205  people, including students & all staff witnessed the program.
