GANDHI JAYANTI & LAL BAHADUR SASTRI JAYANTI

VIVEKANANDA KENDRA VIDYALAYA RANGAT, Commemorated 155th  Birth Anniversary of MAHATMA GANDHI & 120th  Birth Annivesary of  Shri LAL BAHADUR SASTRI with great patriotic fervor. The program began with lighting  up the lamp by our honourable Principal. He also paid homage to the great patriotic leaders by offering flowers. After that, *Ram Dhun* was sung by the children. Then one of our teachers, Miss M.PRITY delivered a wonderful speech about the great leaders. Subsequently, one of our teachers Shri BISHU PADA BISWAS along with some children presented a mesmerizing patriotic song O Amar Desher Maati.Then ABHIJIT MONDAL of Class VII delivered a speech. After that, our Principal  spoke about the importance of the day and  urged the children to follow the path of truth and non violence . He also explained about  the importance of  avoiding three C' s( Comparison, Criticism & Complaining) in our daily life. The program concluded with offering flowers under the portrait of the great souls. The whole program was organised by  Badrinath House  . A total of 150 people witnessed the program.

VISIT OF SECRETARY SUSRI VARSHA DIDI



 Respected Susri VARSA BUJONE Didi, secretary of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas Andaman, visited  VIVEKANANDA KENDRA VIDYALAYA,RANGAT on September 25, 2024. During her visit she interacted with the students of class VII & VIII . She guided and motivated the  students & teachers of the school with her inspiring words.

UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD DAY CELEBRATION 2024


 The culture of celebrating some dates and days has now become a lustrous occasion. When we speak of some of the special days that are celebrated worldwide, to mark such occasions, they are tagged with the speeches by the chief guest/special  personalities present on the occasion . All these speeches were with reference to particular events and are not of much importance in the present scenario. But world over, very few are aware of the facts that there is one speech and a particular day is celebrated worldwide to commemorate, that one speech and it is the Swami Vivekananda famous speech delivered on September 11, 1893 in Chicago to the delegates of the World Parliament of Religions. It is popularly remembered for Swami Vivekananda's opening word *Brothers and Sisters of America* . In order to commemorate Swami Vivekananda's 131st  world famous mesmerizing speech,  VIVEKANANDA KENDRA VIDYALAYA RANGAT  celebrated UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD DAY with Joviality and Merriment. Our respected Principal Shri *Ch Shanmuga Rao* inaugurated the celebration by lighting up the lamp. After that, *Miss Priyanka Singh*  one of our teachers, delivered a wonderful speech on the importance of the day. In continuation, a group song was sung by the children as a tribute to Swami Vivekananda. Then some children  performed, a Skit  based on Swami vivekanand's life incidents followed by  a beautiful folk dance & solo dances. After that *Jui Dutta* of Class X  delivered Chicago Address very nicely. Then our Principal highlighted the importance of the day and motivated the children to follow the path of Swami Vivekananda. The celebration came to an end by offering of flowers under the holy feet of Swami Vivekananda. The whole program was organised by Mathura House. A total of *187* children along with 14 teachers witnessed the program.. Our school conducted elocution competition at school level & drawing competition at Interschool level. In that a total of 380 students and 45 teachers took part.

AWARENESS CAMPAIGN ON CHILD PROTECTION

 Resource persons from DCPU(DISTRICT CHILD PROTECTION UNIT) N & M Andaman,along with Police department and social welfare department visited VIVEKANANDA KENDRA VIDYALAYA, RANGAT on 11 th September 2024.  The purpose of their visit was to create  awareness among children about child abuse, Child marriage and adolescence education. Smti Sunita, resource person from child protection unit explained interestingly about how to protect ourselves  from unwanted physical and social threats. She also explained the children about Good Touch and Bad Touch. A total of 108 children along with 5 teachers witnessed the awareness program.

GANESH CHATURTHI CELEBRATION 2024

Ganesh Chaturthi ,also known as Vinayak chaturthi is a remarkable hindu festival . It is celebrated as tribute to the deity of wisdom and prosperity in Hindu mythology who is also recognised as the god of new beginnings and the remover of obstacles.Ganesh Chaturthi is a festival rich in cultural, religious, and social significance. It celebrates not only the birth of Lord Ganesha but also the values he embodies—wisdom, patience, perseverance, and prosperity.It is traditionally celebrated by all hindu people of  Bharat. 

By following the tradition, VIVEKANANDA KENDRA VIDYALAYA RANGAT  celebrated  Ganesh Chaturthi with great pomp and gaiety. The stage was decorated with flowers. The aroma of burning camphor filled the atmosphere with spirituality and fidelity.

The celebration began with lighting up the lamp and Aarati by our Principal and all teachers. All the rituals were performed with great fervour.  After that children paid homage to the deity by offering flowers. Ganesh bhajans were sung by various group of children. The program concluded with Prasaad distribution. The whole celebration was organized by all the four houses. A total of 110 people including students & Staff, witnessed the celebration.



"TEACHERS' DAY CELEBRATION 2024"

 Today (September 5), we commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, which is also marked as Teachers’ Day in India. Born on September 5, 1888, Dr. Radhakrishnan was a highly esteemed Indian philosopher, politician, and statesmanThe first Teachers’ Day was observed on his 77th birthday in 1962, where the tradition of celebrating Teachers’ Day began when Dr. Radhakrishnan was approached by his students who wanted to celebrate his birthday. Dr Radhakrishnan believed in the transformative power of education and the crucial role teachers play in shaping the future of individuals and the nation. In essence, Teachers’ Day serves as a reminder of the vital role educators play in shaping not only the lives of their students but also the future of society. 

VIVEKANANDA KENDRA VIDYALAYA, RANGAT celebrated Teachers day on 5 September 2024 with great zeal and enthusiasm. The Prayer hall was beautifully decorated with  traditionally available flowers. The celebration began with  lighting up the lamp by the honourable

 Principal  followed by "Shanti Paat". After that teachers were honoured with beautiful hand made bouquets by the students of Class X. After that an wonderful dance was presented by Class V children. Apart from that a group dance and bajans were also presented by the students of Badrinath house. Then best  teachers among students of class X who played the role of teachers were awarded with valuable gifts. The program came to an end with offering of flowers under  the portrait of " Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan.The whole program was organised by the members of " Badrinath House " . A total of 205  people, including students & all staff witnessed the program.

SRI KRISHNA JANMASTAMI CELEBRATION- 2024

 Janmashtami is a significant Hindu festival observed in India, celebrated on the 8th day of Krishna paksha in the Hindu month of Shraavana. It marks the birth of Lord Krishna and is joyfully commemorated by Hindus across the country. Festivities are particularly passionate in states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Punjab, Gujarat, and others. Lord Krishna, an incarnation of Vishnu, is honoured during this festival. Janmashtami, which typically falls in August-September, is celebrated with various rituals aimed at pleasing Lord Krishna. This festive occasion is a source of great joy for Hindus, encompassing vibrant celebrations and meaningful traditions. It is more than just a festival. Janmashtami embodies devotion, unity, and spiritual enlightenment for Hindus throughout India. By following the tradition, VIVEKANANDA KENDRA VIDYALAYA RANGAT celebrated " Sri Krishna Janmastami " on 26th August 2024, in school premises.The celebration was inaugurated by lighting up the  lamp by the Principal, followed by the Judges shri  *Dipankar Mandal*, SMC Vice Chairman, Shri *Nimai Paik*, Vice President PTA, shri *Kuldip Paul* PTA Member.The Program began with *Gita Chanting* .After that house wise *Fancy Dress Competition* was conducted for the blossoming buds of KG's. Kids very enthusiastically took part in the competition in the attires of Lord Krishna & Radha. Then, house wise bajan & dance competition were also held. Children from all houses very enthusiastically and joyfully participated . The competition was judged by the Judges.In that *Ketharnath*

The  celebration came to an end with prasaad distribution. The celebration was organised by *Ketharnath* house. A total of 173 people witnessed the program along with PTA, SMC Members and parents.
